CD covers

For my CD cover redo, I have decided to do R.E.M and more specifically their album 'Reckoning'. I did this because a) Their my most favorite band ever and 'Reckoning' is the greatest album in the world, and b) because I thought it would be fun to try and match the albums art in terms of the post-modernism movement. The bands sound is so unique and I feel it will serve as great inspiration for what ever I wind up doing.

Darth Vader! I would like to point out that I did in fact use illustrator to make the light-saber's blade by using the blend tool.

I chose this particular tutorial because while it is a relatively simple concept, the out come is really cool and (based off of the example) it kind of fits my personal artistic style. I think it would be fun to take it up a few notches and add multiple layers and throw in some hidden images and more optical illusions. So all in all, I feel that this particular tutorial could result in some really mind blowing stuff! That and I just really want to do one with Cthulhu tentacles.
